Meat Cleaver Killer!

On Tuesday, February 12, a woman was found murdered in Manhattan. Kathryn Faughley, a fifty-six year old therapist was brutally attacked and killed in her office. Although the killer was not identified right away, after a few week investigations David Tarloff, 39, was named as the top suspect. Faughley was stabbed fifteen times with a meat cleaver and a nine-inch knife. Tarloff was interrogated and told investigators that he was there to rob Dr. Kent Shinbach, the doctor who committed him seventeen years ago and then leave the country with his mother. He then went into Faughley’s office and started attacking her. Tarloff released this information during a thirty-five minute interrogation. Two suitcases were found in the building of the murder, one bag was filled with adult diapers and women’s clothing and the other bag was filled with rope, duct tape, and knives, the knives were not the ones used in the murder. Tarloff was also arrested a month ago for punching a security guard in the face. The dinger prints taken then matched the ones on the suitcases at the crime scene. David Tarloff was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder, second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault.
